Rural sheds

Farm sheds that
earn their keep

Machinery under cover, stock out of the weather, feed kept dry.

Rural sheds are working buildings, and we design them around the job they have to do.

Implement sheds, calf sheds, stables, hay barns and multi-purpose bays in timber pole or steel frame, whichever suits your ground and your budget.

We can handle design and the full build, or supply a kitset for you to put up yourself.

What we build

Every build starts with
what it has to do

Shelter, storage and stock handling, planned around how the property actually runs.

01

Implement & machinery

Clear spans and open bays sized around your gear, with room to drive straight through.

02

Stock & calf sheds

Shelter, drainage and airflow planned around how you actually run stock.

03

Feed & hay storage

Keeping feed dry and accessible, with bay widths set by what you're storing.

04

Lean-tos & add-ons

Extending what you already have, or building in room to grow later.

Common questions

Before you start

Can't see your question? Give the team a call — it's a quicker answer than a form.

Most of the rural sheds we build don't need one, but it depends on the size, the height, how close it sits to a boundary and what you'll be using it for — and councils differ. Give us a call with rough dimensions and what it's for, and we'll tell you where you stand. If consent is needed, we can take care of that process for you.

Timber pole is usually the more economical option and copes well with uneven or soft ground, since the poles go into the ground rather than relying on an engineered slab. It suits open-sided bays and most everyday farm sheds. Steel frame comes into its own when you need a long clear span with no posts in the middle of the floor, or a wide building on a concrete slab. Tell us the span you're after, what the shed will carry and what your ground is like, and we'll recommend one.

Yes — we can supply most of our rural sheds as a kitset. You get the plans, the materials and a full fixings list delivered to site, and you or your own builder put it up. If you hit a snag part-way through, call the team and talk it through with someone who has built one.

We can't put a realistic timeframe on it until we know the full ins and outs of the build. Size, consent, material lead times and your site all move the dates around, and we'd rather give you an honest answer than a number that slips. Once we've talked through the scope we'll tell you what to expect.

Yes. We're based in Te Awamutu but we build right across New Zealand, and we deliver kitsets nationwide.

Tell us what you have in mind

Give us the site, the use and roughly the size. We'll work out what it takes from there.
